Same difference 2

1. Such a waste
A dustbin is not a mere dustbin.
Not unlike a waste, which is not just waste. The waste could be Organic recyclable, Organic non-recycle,Unorganic non-recycle and so on. And the dustbin has differnt sections for it. So, you end up standing in front of a stupid dustbin, looking like an idiot, wondering where your contribution goes to, almost regretting why did you have to peel the oranges, if you had to categorize the chhilka !!

2. Vrooooom
Now,bikers here are not the ones who can't afford a car. It's the other way round. And one should see the bikes to understand why.I have been told that you hardly see motorbikes in the UK or US, but Aussies seem to be driven by their love for sports and likes here. The bikes are all 1000CC types, huge, roaring and yes, spanking clean.

3. Tap it
Almost everywhere you would find water-taps the same one serves both hot and cold water. The only time I saw a twist-and-turn tap is at the ISKCON temple. Appartment shower-areas dont have taps at all...only a shower. And,needless to say but,I'll mention, no buckets in the bathroom. What if I have to wash my feet, without getting wet? I did figure it out later, but having a tap makes it a lot easier, ain't it?

4. Watch your step
What do you do to cross a busy road in India?Simple....don't think too much, just streak through, right?Sadly, not the case here. All the traffic-signals have a pedestrian crossings too. When you need to cross a road, you press a button and you wait for the WALK signal to go green. And yes, there a are traffic-police on busy squares, who get hold of you if you try jumping a RED signal, even on foot. I make it a point that I always obey rules. One for the penalties are very heavy. And secondly(and no less important),I always dread that embarassment,I'll cause to my people back home,if I'm fined. What do I tell? That I had a traffic-ticket slapped, when I was walking??

5. Selling Price minus Cost price
There is no concept of a MRP(maximum Retail Price),atleast here in Australia. You would find the same product for differnt costs in different outlets. And that holds for everything, not just something like electronics.Reasons being, coz' one particuler outlet is open 24*7,so it'll have stuff at higher rates;another because its situated in an upmarket area. Man, ours is a lot more reasonable economy.

6.Friendly neighbour
It seems we are not the only ones bogged by Chinese products.Almost, everything you get in the shops here is Made in China, from kitchenware to amenities to clothings to souveniors to....what-the-heck....Australian Flags(that are sold outside stadiums)!!
